First Baptist Bryan Church Members Visit Communities Worldwide

A Texas-based religious leader, Eric Thomas Garland has held leadership roles with First Baptist churches in Huffman and Lufkin. Eric Garland recently moved on from his role as a family pastor at Lufkin's Denman Avenue Baptist Church, and he now serves as the media director at First Baptist Church in Bryan, Texas.

First Baptist Bryan oversees worship services and ministries for people of all ages. The church also hosts mission trips throughout the year to give the congregation an opportunity to give back to their local community and others worldwide.

In 2018, First Baptist Bryan members took part in several missions at home and abroad. For the fifth consecutive year, the church visited South Texas in March to oversee a service project for a family in need. The congregation returned to the area in the summer to host its Vacation Bible School for local children.

First Baptist Bryan's 2018 missions outside of the country included a trip to Estonia in May and a trip to Nicaragua in June. Church members also recently returned from a 14-day mission to Germany, where they hosted a baseball camp and helped spread the gospel in Siegburg.
